Winter Acoustic by Bayside

Bayside - WINTER (Acoustic)

I decided to do this Tab cause this song is the best of the Acoustic CD of Bayside
released on February 28 2006. Also, the lyrics are really good cause we can understand
that in this song, they're speaking of John Beatz, their drummer died in 2005 so I think
this is an important song to know!

Apologize on me, it's the first time I'm doing a Tab.

Tuning : Standard

Intro : B G#m E F#

B
When Winter falls
E G#m
Next year, I'll be holding on
F#
To anything nailed down
B E G#m
As for being patient, with fate and all, it's getting old.
F#
And my mind is slowly changing

G#m
I'm calling all my oldest friends,
F#
Saying "sorry for this mess we're in,"
E Em
And I'm waiting, waiting
G#m
For the Sun to come and melt this snow,
F# E Em
wash away the pain, and give me back control, control.

B
An angel got his wings,
                E F# G#m
And we'll hold our heads up knowing that he's fine.
                          E F# B
We'd all be lucky to have a love like that in a lifetime.

B
Should we still set his plate?
E
Should we still save his chair?
              G#m
Should we still buy him gifts?
               F#
And if we don't, did we not care?

G#m
It makes you think about the life you've led,
F#
Shit you've done, things you've said.
               E Em
And it's grounding, grounding.
G#m
I've been feeling three feet tall this month,

F#
hardly indestructible.
             E Em
But the snow melts, and the rhythm still goes on.

B
An angel got his wings,
                E F# G#m
And we'll hold our heads up knowing that he's fine.
                         E F# B
We'd all be lucky to have a love like that in a lifetime.

B
Friends stay side by side,
E F# G#m
In life and death you've always stole my heart,
                                   E F# E
You'll always mean so much to me, it's hard to believe this

E B
These nights in vans,
E B
These nights in bars,
E F# G#m E F# B
Don't mean a thing with empty hearts, with empty hearts.

Interlude : B E F# B E F#

B
An angel got his wings,
               E F# G#m
And we'll hold our heads up knowing that he's fine.
                                E F# B
We'd all be lucky to have a love like that in a lifetime.
B
Friends stay side by side,
     E F# G#m
In life and death you've always stole my heart,
                                       E F#
You've always meant so much to me, it's hard to believe
       E F#
So much to me, it's hard to believe
        E F# B
So much to me, it's hard to believe this.
